We have a driver and a passenger!
Take a look at Scream and the Mona Lisa going out for a drive in their '57 corvette! This part was saved for me and I have had fun painting today and watching these two come alive. I can't wait to see the students reaction when they see this on Monday. Hope you are all having a great weekend....I'm painting:) and smiling:) Mrs. Soule

Matissimo for Jorge
It was very interesting to see The Vettetastic Project in the Daily News. The project shows the students interest in the different artwork, artists, and Vettetastic corvette. Jorge is a student focusing on Matisse for the back. He has shown an interest in knowing more about Matisse and the other artists. Jorge and I have been talking about color, how you mix colors to make more vibrant tints. We discuss that artist mix colors to make many different types of colors (various greens). He adds yellow and white to lighten the color or by adding blue and black to darken the color. When he gets done mixing the color; he looks to see if it matches the color he used earlier. If not he thinks about the color and what other color he needs to add to make the exact color. Nice job Jorge "the Great"!
